Academic Surgical Pathologist Opportunity

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates is seeking a highly skilled Academic Surgical Pathologist to join our faculty in the Department of Pathology. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the growth of our clinical services, genomic molecular pathology, digital and computational pathology, and innovative research programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical service in surgical pathology subspecialties, including breast, GYN, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, renal, thoracic, lung pathology, and cytopathology.
  • Teach residents, fellows, and medical students, and maintain an active research program as an independent investigator or in collaboration with surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians and basic investigators.
Requirements
  • MD, MD/PhD, PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the time of appointment.
  • Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia.
  • Fellowship training and/or experience in general surgical pathology and/or a subspecialty area of surgical pathology or cytopathology.
