About the PositionThe Speech Language Pathologist at Meridian is responsible for providing direct and indirect clinical services to students with academically based communication disorders. This includes providing comprehensive diagnostic assessments, developing individualized programs of therapy, and collaborating with teachers to support oral communication and speech, language, and literacy development.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology, certification as a Speech Language Pathologist, and two or more years of experience working in schools. Responsibilities- Provides direct and indirect clinical services to students with academically based communication disorders.
- Develops and implements individualized programs of therapy to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborates with teachers to support oral communication and speech, language, and literacy development.
- Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and related responsibilities.
- Provides support and guidance to child study committees and maintains accurate records.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology, and certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. Two or more years of experience working in schools is preferred.
