About the Role

The Parking Attendant/Cashier is a key member of our team at Reef Technology Inc., responsible for ensuring a seamless parking experience for our customers. As a Parking Attendant/Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all transactions are handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue and collect visitor parking tickets
  • Act as a traffic controller to direct incoming guests to available parking spaces
  • Perform vehicle counts on location throughout the shift to ensure the garage does not overfill available spaces
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed, and provide assistance to guests who have forgotten where they parked
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the facility or operations
  • Match visitor tickets to parking rate schedules, collect proper payment from visitors, and distribute correct change
  • Complete lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located
  • Complete shift/daily reconciliation of receipts, cash, and charges, and accurately account for all funds within the cashier drawer
  • Perform revenue drops following specific location procedures
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in and around the cashier's booth
  • Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, and relay information to the shift or Operations Manager as necessary

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to verbally communicate with guests
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred

Working Conditions

Frequently operate small office equipment such as cash registers, calculators, copiers/printers

Stand for extended periods of time, sometimes for the entire duration of the shift

Work is performed indoors/outdoors for extended periods of time, including up to the entire duration of the shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
