The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the comprehensive leadership and administration of Catholic Charities' programs and services, along with associated operational, financial, human resources, quality assurance, risk management, and service delivery functions.

This role acts as the primary operational leader of the organization, operating under the guidance and authority of the Board of Directors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all organizational service operations and ministries, including program functions, service standards, community engagement initiatives, and the management of program and ministry Directors and Managers.
  • Serve as the main staff representative and agent for the CCI Board of Directors.
  • Oversee essential administrative operations necessary to fulfill the agency's mission, including financial management, human resources, quality improvement, risk assessment, and program-specific activities.
  • Recruit, support, and develop a Leadership Team composed of qualified and mission-driven Program and Department Directors and Managers to enhance agency management and operational integrity.
  • Direct and manage revenue-generating initiatives to secure adequate funding for delivering exceptional, mission-oriented service outcomes.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility and service-related accountability, transparency, reporting, and oversight.
  • Collaborate with the Bishop and Board of Directors to formulate strategic plans and operational objectives that promote the agency's mission. Ensure the effective implementation and adjustment of these plans in a transparent manner.
  • Cultivate an organizational culture that is open, trustworthy, supportive, collaborative, and mission-focused.
  • Encourage a growth mindset to innovate and explore the expanding role and reach of CCI, while remaining aligned with CCI's mission.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively serve a diverse geographic and demographic service area.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson and representative of the agency, serving as the liaison between Catholic Charities and the local Church, stakeholders, clients, service partners, and the broader community.
