Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Background Screening Customer Service Representative to join our team at San Antonio Retail Merchants Assoc. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients by resolving product and service issues, preparing accurate background screening reports, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain turnaround time expectations based on internal and state policies.
  • Verify all products related to background screening by performing background scrub or verification procedures.
  • Communicate with clients as needed regarding the status of pending reports and provide clarifying information.
  • Utilize best practices and accuracy training to deliver quality reports to clients.
  • Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products or services.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information as needed.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Conduct consumer interviews and investigate disputed information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with some PC knowledge and minimum typing skills of 40-50 wpm. Additionally, the following skills are required: Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Market Knowledge, Documentation Skills, Listening, Courteous Phone Skills, Resolving Conflict, Analyzing Information, and Multi-tasking.
