Position Overview:

The Lead Bakery Supervisor collaborates closely with the Manager and team members to produce top-notch cakes, cultivate a friendly atmosphere, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role involves performing various tasks while assisting the Manager in overseeing all bakery departments, enhancing sales and profitability, executing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Emphasizes guest satisfaction, exemplifies outstanding guest interaction, and promotes a positive workplace culture.
  • Works alongside the Manager to lead all facets of guest engagement, cake creation, brand presentation, workplace environment, financial management, and inventory oversight.
  • Aids the Manager in recruiting, onboarding, and training team members, directing daily tasks, and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Ensures that product quality, service, bakery ambiance, and visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assists the Manager in operational tasks, which may include cake production planning, productivity goal setting, team scheduling, supply procurement, sales and labor tracking, and expense management.
  • Facilitates special-order processing through online and email requests for individual customers and corporate clients, including large and intricate orders.
  • Handles the bakery's opening and closing procedures, including cash management and bank deposits, as necessary. Contributes to marketing initiatives and assists in organizing events.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all bakery roles and steps in to perform various duties as needed.
  • Possesses ServSafe certification or obtains it within the first three months of employment.
Qualifications and Experience:

•High school diploma or GED; further education is advantageous.

•Preferred 1-3 years of customer-facing experience in a retail, restaurant, or foodservice setting, ideally in a leadership role with increasing managerial responsibilities.

•Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, requiring 35-40 hours per week, with a schedule from Wednesday to Sunday (non-negotiable), having Mondays and Tuesdays off. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential based on business needs.
