Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and control activities of the maintenance department to maintain, repair, and renovate facilities
- Maintain flow and quality of work to ensure timely completion of assigned workload and adherence to standards of quality control
- Maintain adequate inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies and initiate requisitions as needed
- In the absence of the Director and Assistant Director, assume full responsibilities of the department and share weekend duties with other managers
- Monitor and inspect employee work performance to ensure performance standards are maintained through use of computer reports
- Orient and train new employees and provide continuing guidance and on-the-job training to all assigned personnel
- Prepare performance evaluations for assigned personnel
- Monitor and coordinate preventative maintenance and building and property repair and improvement projects performed by vendors and contractors
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare
- Must be knowledgeable in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
- Previous experience with computerized work order systems highly preferred
- Ability to meet the needs of the facility and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Associate degree preferred
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
