Job Overview

Position Summary: Encentric, Inc. is seeking a qualified IT Support Specialist to deliver information management and technology support services. This role is crucial for the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity and the Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity.

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma.

Certification Requirements: Candidates must hold either a GSEC or CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years in customer support.
  • At least 2 years in functional or technical IT support.
  • One year of experience managing Microsoft Group Policy.
  • Prior experience with the Defense Health Agency is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver IT support both onsite and remotely as required.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), including computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Manage software installation and maintenance, including Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Provide physical network support, including replacing Ethernet cables and connecting patch cables.
  • Support Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, including equipment configuration and meeting facilitation.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) requirements to maintain an Authority To Operate (ATO).
  • Assist with IA tasks such as vulnerability mitigation and security scans.
  • Utilize management tools like Microsoft Configuration Manager and Active Directory for task execution.
  • Possess knowledge of PowerShell and Batch scripting.
  • Analyze help desk requests and update the knowledge base for future reference.
