The Radiologic Technologist 2 at Loma Linda University provides exceptional patient care in a compassionate and personalized environment. This role involves administering radiographic and fluoroscopic ionizing radiation to patients, following established protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiography, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Responsibilities- Administer radiographic and fluoroscopic ionizing radiation to patients following prescribed protocols.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies prior to exams.
- Instruct and train clinical students as required.
- Perform quality assurance and fluoroscopy checks, routine x-rays exams, and advanced fluoroscopy exams.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Earned an associate's degree or higher in radiography.
- Completed an ARRT-approved educational program in radiography.
- Minimum one year of experience preferred.
- Able to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality.
- Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position.
- Able to safely and effectively operate all appropriate radiology equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
- Ability to communicate effectively about complex matters with others in a professional manner.
- Able to distinguish colors, hear sufficiently for general conversation, and see adequately to read computer screens and written documents.
- California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- California Fluoroscopy Permit required.
