Job Title: Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant production equipment, support equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain plant apparatus room, including air compressors, vacuum pumps, air dryers, cooling towers, circulating pumps, smog hogs, and heat exchangers.
  • Repair and maintain plant production equipment, including front-end, washer, back-end, and end-line equipment.
  • Perform required PM&R of waste treatment areas and maintain bulk fluid delivery systems.
  • Fabricate parts for system or equipment repairs and assist other areas as needed.
  • Perform repairs to buildings and grounds, including coolant filtration and delivery systems, and building environmental controls and HVAC.
  • Keep accurate logs and records of work performed and ensure proper operation of boilers.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping in shops and other work areas.
Requirements:
  • Ability to perform complete overhauls of equipment and machinery.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic systems, chemical properties, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Able to read blueprints and understand pump operations, CFM's, pressures, and make repairs, rebuild, and overhaul pumps as needed.
  • Communication skills to evaluate customer needs, order parts, and explain problems.
  • Basic computer skills to collect data and document P.M.'s.
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements and safe work practices.
