Job Title: Manager, Development Packaging

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Development Packaging to join our team at Revlon Consumer Products LLC. As a key member of our packaging development team, you will be responsible for executing the development and qualification of primary and secondary packaging solutions that meet the needs of our brands, consumers, and manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and qualify packaging solutions that meet brand aesthetics, consumer use, manufacturing capability, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Support the ideation, development, feasibility, and implementation of new and improved packages and processes, including package design, engineering, prototype development, and quality testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost savings and efficiency initiatives, and quality investigations towards continuous improvement.
  • Own technical milestones and troubleshoot technical issues with suppliers, plants, distribution, and quality.
  • Share and escalate roadblocks cross-functionally and create package component specifications, Bills of Materials, and Fill & Assembly specifications.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Design on establishing feasibility for new packaging initiatives and concepts.
  • Review and approve artwork for new/maintenance SKUs and ensure colors of packaging components meet Design and Marketing expectations.
  • Understand and conduct package testing procedures and standards to support the effective design, validation, and implementation of new packages and packaging technology.
  • Coordinate line trials to ensure package performance for manufacturing and attend component and manufacturing startups as needed.
  • Support and drive engineering change initiatives, drive sustainability initiatives, and support and drive packaging consumer complaints and non-conformities to completion.
  • Contribute to organizational development through the implementation of new processes and systems and research new or emerging packaging trends and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • At least five years' experience in Packaging Development or Engineering within the Beauty/Cosmetics or Personal Care Industry.
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel, and CAD software knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrate broad and in-depth knowledge of packaging materials and processes, knowledgeable of filling plant and contract manufacturing capabilities, and self-motivated and self-disciplined individual able to work in relative autonomy.
  • Good communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization and suppliers, good organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and information, and ability to travel when required by strategic programs.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive base pay range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, as well as short and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation. Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, and are covered by the company-paid basic life insurance policy. Other benefits include long-term disability, supplemental life insurances, flexible spending accounts, critical illness insurance, group legal, identity theft protection, and 401k Retirement Savings Plan. Employees also receive 3 weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on date of hire for the 1st year of employment, and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance.
