Cape Resorts is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Operations Manager to lead our culinary operations to new heights. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the successful daily operation of all assigned Food and Beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Training:
- Provide leadership to the restaurant service team through floor presence, frequent training, and re-training of staff.
- Ensure the team uses proper service techniques and has the requisite menu knowledge.
- Operational Management:
- Work all scheduled shifts as assigned by the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.
- Ensure the highest possible standards of guest service are provided.
- Conduct impactful shift meetings and huddles using approved materials and templates.
- Staff Management:
- Schedule employees based on business needs.
- Manage the timecards of employees, evaluate performance, and manage daily floor assignments.
- Guest Experience:
- Work quickly and independently to resolve operational and guest issues.
- Ensure proper follow-through and excellence in creating a memorable experience for outlet guests.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate effective communication within F&B and with support departments.
- Develop and implement cost and waste reducing and profit enhancing measures.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree or combination of work experience and education preferred.
- Experience:
- 3 years of Food and Beverage experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of restaurant management experience required.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer.
- Basic computational ability and computer skills required.
