Overview:
At Chestnut Hills-Squirrel Hill, we're seeking a highly skilled Business Assistant to join our team. As a Business Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our front office, ensuring seamless patient experiences, and contributing to the success of our dental practice.

Responsibilities:
As a Business Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients, creating a positive first impression of our team
  • Managing front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies
  • Utilizing Dentrix for patient scheduling and records
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments for multiple providers in the office
  • Filing patient insurance claims and following up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage
  • Posting insurance and patient payments and processing accounts receivables
  • Reviewing treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  • Partnering with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential

Qualifications:
To be successful as a Business Assistant, you'll need:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
