Billing Operations Manager

Loews Hotels is seeking a skilled Billing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for our hotel's events and groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and process billing contracts and turnovers for approved deviations and client requests.
- Work closely with the Financial Services team and Hotel Sales to ensure that all deposit requirements are met and that clients have approved direct billing or are fully pre-paid.
- Monitor in-house group/convention bills to ensure proper application of charges and that credit limits are not exceeded.
- Ensure that all discrepancies or disputes in billing are researched and resolved.
- Maintain complete files with appropriate documentation for all charges associated with all group/conventions.
- Review city ledger reports weekly and monthly, identifying concerns and addressing them as soon as possible.
- Instruct departments on correct procedures regarding credit policies and ensure adherence to established credit policies.
- Attend monthly property credit review meetings with the Accounts Receivable Manager to review problem accounts and ensure proper understanding of credit policies and procedures.
- Schedule and oversee the work of a support staff engaged in billing activities, train and instruct employees, and review their work for accuracy.
- Interview, select, train, appraise, coach, counsel, and discipline accounting personnel according to Loews standards.
- Evaluate individual employee performance, determine areas in need of improvement or requirements for advancement, establish goals, objectives, and training needs required to achieve same.
- Extensive knowledge of computer-based front and back of house Accounting Management Systems.
- Prolific in Windows, Word, Excel, and MS-Office software and applications.
- Ability to assemble, analyze, and present integrated data and complex technical information to all levels of management.
- Organization/prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines.
- Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communications skills.
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment, i.e., fax, copiers, printers, calculators.
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
