Medical Assistant

PPG Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support our dialysis team. As a Medical Assistant - Dialysis Support, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting flochec assessments of dialysis patients, scheduling patients for clinic, procedures, and ultrasounds, and cross-training to preop recovery area duties. You will also take vital signs on all patients, record findings in the electronic medical record, and report any abnormal findings to nurses for follow-up. Additionally, you will assist physicians and nurse practitioners with permcatheter removals, set up sterile fields as needed, and float to Arlington to assist with stock recovery/pre-op bays. You will also verify insurance for all procedures pertaining to PAD and Veins, order supplies for vein procedures and stockings, and prep and assist in all vein ablations, pre-op, and recovery.
