Certified Medical Assistant

About the Role:
As a Medical Assistant, you'll work closely with our healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care. You'll be responsible for facilitating communication, collaborating with the healthcare team, and promoting the optimal health, well-being, and safety of our patients. You may perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized healthcare provider, including front office duties and scheduling of tests and/or patient appointments.
Responsibilities:
• Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the delegation of medical services as defined by the State Medical Practice Act.
• Perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized healthcare provider, including front office duties and scheduling of tests and/or patient appointments.
• Assist with accurate chart documentation and medical record maintenance.
• Attend in-service presentations and seminars to facilitate personal and professional growth and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma required
• Medical Assisting Trade/Technical School, preferred
• Medical Assistant certification or registration from an approved organization, required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required
• Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for CHPG Medical Assistants.
• Successful completion of assigned/required courses in online learning platform
