Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team as a Float CMA. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in various clinics, including Frisco, Prosper, and Plano.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the Float CMA process
  • Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures
  • Prepare patients for healthcare providers, obtain and record vital signs, and administer medications as ordered
  • Draw and collect blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and perform routine tests such as EKGs
  • Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion
  • Document patient plans of care, test results, and examination results in the medical record
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail
  • Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, maintains equipment, and disposes of contaminated items according to protocol
  • Escalate non-routine issues, questions, and concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider
  • Ensure safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required
  • Provide patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CMA Certified Medical Assistant certification
  • One year of Medical Assistant experience within the last three years
  • ACLS or BCLS certification preferred
