Position Overview:
Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is in search of a dedicated Dietary Cook. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and appealing meals in a supportive environment.
Work Schedule:
Shifts available from 5:30 AM to 1 PM and 12 PM to 8 PM, requiring 2-3 days of work per week along with every other weekend.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay is commensurate with experience. We offer a welcoming atmosphere with 111 beds, a referral bonus program with unlimited potential, and excellent, affordable benefit plans for full-time employees. Additionally, voluntary benefits through AFLAC are available, and employees can enroll in DailyPay from day one to avoid waiting for their paycheck. A 401k program through Fidelity is also provided, along with opportunities for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Dietary Cook, your primary duties will include:
- Assisting in daily food preparation and maintaining cleanliness as instructed.
- Serving meals, beverages, and special dietary items promptly during designated meal times, either in the dining area or directly to residents' rooms.
- Preparing the dining area for subsequent meals and ensuring a safe, clean environment for all residents.
- Maintaining accurate records for each resident and promptly reporting any changes in their condition to the nursing staff.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
