Job Summary

Gateway Rehab is seeking a Treatment Support Technician 2 to facilitate programming and ensure the integrity of the therapeutic milieu in our Waynesburg, PA location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead discussion groups and activities to promote patient engagement and recovery.
  • Monitor patient behavior and provide support to ensure a safe treatment environment.
  • Conduct handbook orientations and searches of patient belongings, rooms, and persons.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patients, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
  • Assist patients in completing assessment forms and provide support with phone calls to family members and referral sources.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and provide emotional support to patients.
  • Transport patients to meetings and document involvement in progress notes.
  • Collect urine samples and complete paperwork for drug screening as necessary.
  • Provide post-discharge contacts and referrals under therapist direction.
  • Monitor medication taken by clients and document accordingly.
  • Work in the gift shop, manage menu and nutrition needs, and manage donation and patient requests.
  • Monitor smoke breaks and complete intake paperwork as needed.
  • Monitor clients' ADLs, including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.
  • Remain on duty until relieved and attend mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Requirements

  • Some college preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Pass a PA Criminal History Record Check.
  • Obtain PA or a State Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
  • Obtain CPR/First Aid training.
  • Pass Drug Screen.
  • TB Testing.
  • This position requires mandatory staffing coverage to provide a safe treatment environment.
  • Required to remain awake and alert while on duty.
  • If living a life of recovery, must attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder.
