Treatment Support Specialist

Gateway Rehab is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Support Technician 2 to join our team in Waynesburg, PA. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating programming and ensuring the integrity of the therapeutic milieu.
Responsibilities:- Facilitate discussion groups and activities to promote patient engagement and participation.
- Monitor patient behavior and provide support as needed to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Conduct handbook orientation and provide patients with essential information about our program.
- Conduct searches of patient belongings, rooms, and person to maintain a secure environment.
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patients to ensure effective communication and support.
- Assist patients in completing patient assessment forms and provide support with phone calls to family members/friends and referral sources.
- Assist with crisis intervention and provide emotional support to patients in need.
- Transport patients to meetings and appointments as necessary.
- Document involvement with patients in progress notes and maintain accurate records.
- Collect urine and complete paperwork for drug screening as necessary.
- Provide post-discharge contacts/referrals under therapist direction.
- Monitor medication taken by clients and document accordingly, if applicable.
- Work in the gift shop, manage menu and nutrition needs, and manage donation and patient requests, if applicable.
- Monitor smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable.
- Complete intake paperwork as needed.
- Monitor clients' ADLs, including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.
- Remain on duty until relieved and attend mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Some college education.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- PA Criminal History Record Check.
- PA or State Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
- CPR/First Aid training.
- Pass Drug Screen and TB Testing.
