Assistant Director of Nursing Services

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing Services to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight to our skilled nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities- Supervise and develop the skills of our nursing team members, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Direct and assist in the delivery of clinical care, ensuring consistent quality and resident satisfaction.
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services in maintaining the skilled nursing budget, including labor expenses, medical supplies, and census management.
- Understand and assist with the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring accurate and timely assessments.
- Review and assist in case management of both Medicare and non-Medicare residents, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Graduate of an approved college or school of nursing.
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) per state regulations.
- One year of supervisory and nurse management experience, including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, discipline, and counseling in a nursing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practices, techniques, and methods as applied to skilled nursing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations.
- Competent in the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, possess written and verbal skills for effective communication, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), and the ability to learn new applications.
