About the Role

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Services Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care and services to our residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and services
  • Direct and assist in clinical care, ensuring consistent delivery of quality resident services
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in maintaining the skilled nursing budget, including labor expense and medical supplies
  • Understand and assist with the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process
  • Review and assist in case management of both Medicare and non-Medicare residents
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved college or school of nursing
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) per state regulations
  • One year of supervisory and nurse management experience, including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, discipline, and counseling in a nursing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practices, techniques, and methods as applied to skilled nursing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local long-term care regulations
  • Competent in the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, possess written and verbal skills for effective communication, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications
