About This Role:

Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center is seeking a highly skilled leader to oversee the operations of our teaching hospital. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and leadership to veterinary teaching hospital personnel, ensuring high-quality patient care, client service, teaching, and research.

The ideal candidate will maintain current knowledge of healthcare administration trends, provide leadership for teaching hospital personnel, and contribute to a positive, high-performing, and engaged culture within the hospital and college community. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Associate Dean of Clinical Programs, supporting and developing hospital employees, and serving on the VHC Hospital Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational oversight and leadership for veterinary teaching hospital personnel
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare administration trends
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performing, and engaged culture within the hospital and college community
  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Clinical Programs
  • Support and develop hospital employees
  • Serve on the VHC Hospital Board

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience
  • MBA or MHA, or relevant Master's degree
  • 5+ years managing and/or providing direction in a hospital/health entity
  • Excellent knowledge of business processing, management, and hospital operations
