About This Role:

The Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated Small Animal ICU team. As a critical member of our team, you will provide clinical assistance to our ICU staff in the day-to-day operations of caring for critically ill patients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support through maintaining inventory, organizing necessary equipment, and engaging in basic aspects of patient care.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience as a veterinary assistant providing patient care.
  • Ability to work with and provide preventative maintenance for ordinary medical equipment.
  • Ability to handle, restrain, and provide medical treatments to domestic animals.
  • Willingness to master new techniques.
