Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in designated areas, adhering to established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough cleaning of assigned facilities in accordance with outlined standards.
  • Maintains and organizes cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Performs cleaning tasks in various areas including restrooms, offices, floors, and hallways using appropriate techniques and tools.
  • Engages in regular communication with the supervisor regarding cleaning activities.
  • Upholds a positive representation of the organization in all interactions.
  • Contributes to the agency's mission of fostering vibrant communities.

Core Duties:

  • Communication: Ensures open lines of communication with the supervisor.
  • Delivers high-quality customer service.
  • Knowledge: Maintains equipment, personal appearance, and security of the premises.
  • Management: Oversees daily cleaning tasks and recycling efforts.
  • Participates in team initiatives and special assignments.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Intermediate proficiency.
  • Customer service skills - Intermediate proficiency.
  • Written communication skills - Intermediate proficiency.
  • Verbal communication skills - Intermediate proficiency.
  • Familiarity with power scrubbers, waxers, and buffers - Basic knowledge.
  • Understanding of custodial and cleaning practices - Basic knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating power scrubbers, waxers, and buffers.
  • Previous work experience in a custodial role.
