As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that aircraft assembly processes and products meet both regulatory and company standards.
Your role will involve identifying discrepancies and assisting in the analysis of preventive and corrective actions to ensure the highest quality of service and products for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general mechanical tasks on aircraft and associated systems.
- This includes, but is not limited to, the removal and installation of panels and components, as well as repair and sheet metal work.
- Troubleshoot and assess aircraft systems as assigned.- Perform inspections and evaluations of aircraft and components as designated.
- Facilitate aircraft movement and assist with performance runs and taxiing when necessary.
- Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tools as required.
- Work independently on specific projects when needed.
- Undertake any other job-related tasks as directed by supervisors or management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant License is mandatory.
- Factory training specific to aircraft will be considered a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of an Airframe and Powerplant license.
- 2 to 5 years of previous experience in aircraft maintenance is essential.
- Experience with turbine aircraft is preferred but not mandatory.
Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a steady pace in completing inspections.
- Capable of processing work with minimal supervision.
Work Expectations:
- Attend work as scheduled, including overtime and weekend shifts when necessary for AOG aircraft maintenance.
- Notify supervisors in advance if unable to work.- Ensure reliable transportation to and from work.
- Adhere to all Federal Aviation Administration regulations during work activities.
- Follow company and OSHA safety protocols diligently.
- Maintain a customer-focused work ethic.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared objectives.
Communication:
- Interact with other technicians in turbine service or various departments.
- Communicate with the Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
- Engage with customers or external vendors as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting.
- Perform repetitive physical motions with arms and hands, including overhead tasks.
- Complete standard maintenance inspections and repair tasks.
Mental Requirements:
- Comprehend and implement regulations and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot or assess system operations.
- Work collaboratively with others in a professional environment.
- Utilize aviation computer systems effectively.
Supervision:
- Operate under the guidance of the assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
- May be tasked with supervising other technicians as needed.
- Work with minimal supervision when required.
Work Environment:
- Most tasks will be performed in a controlled hangar environment.
- Occasional outdoor work during aircraft runs may be necessary.
- Varied positions in and around the aircraft will be expected.
Tools and Equipment:
- Utilize standard aviation tools provided by the mechanic.
- Operate pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
- Employ jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices.
- Use tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment as needed.
