Capital Equipment Sales Professional

This exciting role will be responsible for supporting the exceptional growth in the sales of capital equipment products. A solid understanding of capital equipment and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical clients will be needed to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:- Convey the technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
- Pursue leads, qualify prospects, and manage all aspects of the sales process for both new and existing customers
- Generate leads through cold calls, referrals, and territory-specific marketing efforts
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations
- Demonstrate the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, exhibitions, etc.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs/RFQs
- Attend and present the technology at trade shows and symposiums
- Convey customer requirements and an understanding of emerging applications to Product Management teams
- Travel throughout the US sales territory (minimum 50% travel requirement)
- Maintain an accurate customer database using Salesforce CRM
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
- Meet, or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in capital equipment sales is preferred
- 50% minimum travel requirement within the United States
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
- Understanding of industrial materials-process technology is preferred
- $65,000-80,000 base salary plus uncapped commission ($120,000-160,000+ OTE) depending on experience
