Job Description

This exciting role will be responsible for supporting the exceptional growth in the sales of capital equipment products. A solid understanding of capital equipment and the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical clients will be needed to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Convey the technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Pursue leads, qualify prospects, and manage all aspects of the sales process for both new and existing customers
  • Generate leads through cold calls, referrals, and territory-specific marketing efforts
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations
  • Demonstrate the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, exhibitions, etc.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs/RFQs
  • Attend and present the technology at trade shows and symposiums
  • Convey customer requirements and an understanding of emerging applications to Product Management teams
  • Travel throughout the US sales territory (minimum 50% travel requirement)
  • Maintain an accurate customer database using Salesforce CRM
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
  • Meet, or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in capital equipment sales is preferred
  • 50% minimum travel requirement within the United States
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
  • Understanding of industrial materials-process technology is preferred
Salary Range:
  • $65,000-80,000 base salary plus uncapped commission ($120,000-160,000+ OTE) depending on experience
