Overview:


This role is essential in providing ongoing support to healthcare professionals, including physicians and clinicians, by troubleshooting issues and identifying enhancements for clinical information systems.

Acting as a bridge between clinical departments and IT, this position aims to deliver technical solutions tailored to user requirements.

By designing, developing, and testing clinical information systems, you will contribute to the advancement of integrated health information management systems that are both customer-focused and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:


Engage in the planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, training, and evaluation of clinical information systems specifically for nursing services.

Acquire comprehensive knowledge of system functionalities, applications, and processes to effectively educate users.

Provide training for new users and ongoing support for existing users.
Facilitate the integration of data and information to assist patients, nurses, and other healthcare providers in their decision-making processes.

Contribute to the formulation of clinical informatics protocols, policies, procedures, and quality metrics while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Advocate for the needs and concerns of clinical constituencies regarding clinical informatics.
Collaborate closely with Information Technology, medical staff, and various patient care departments.

Additional Information:

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Computer Science, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
  • Credentialed healthcare professional (e.g., Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, Radiologic Technologist) licensed to practice in the state.

Professional Experience Requirements:
  • If holding a Bachelor's degree: Three (3) years of clinical practice experience.
  • If holding an Associate's degree: Five (5) years of clinical practice experience.
  • If possessing a high school diploma or GED: Seven (7) years of clinical practice experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Proven capability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Highly responsive to the needs of internal customers.
