The successful candidate will focus on establishing and growing our footprint in Louisiana by pinpointing and securing new business opportunities for Chuckle Rum - the first premium, humor-inspired, fruit-flavored rum.
Your role will be vital in boosting sales, nurturing robust relationships with key partners, and executing strategic initiatives to meet our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Strategy Development:
Conduct comprehensive market analysis to uncover potential opportunities and growth areas within Louisiana's leading markets.
Formulate and execute a strategic sales plan to meet revenue and market share targets.
Monitor competitor actions and market dynamics to remain ahead of industry trends.
Business Growth:
Design and implement sales strategies for your designated territory, achieving volume, distribution, and profitability objectives.
Build and sustain strong customer relationships at all levels to maximize sales opportunities.
Identify and pursue new accounts, including bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and other relevant venues.
Maintain a consistent weekly schedule of account visits, including sales calls, collaborative work sessions, and distributor meetings.
Negotiate and finalize sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client.
Account Management:
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
Deliver exceptional customer service and support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Conduct regular business evaluations to assess account performance and identify areas for enhancement.
Marketing and Brand Promotion:
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to elevate brand awareness, drive sales, and ensure brand initiatives are effectively executed with all stakeholders.
Participate in selected promotional events to oversee, assist, and evaluate the quality of brand promotion.
Lead engaging consumer interactions that generate local market excitement, including sampling initiatives, experiential marketing activities, and press events.
Reporting and Performance Analysis:
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, market trends, and account activities.
Leverage data and insights to make informed decisions and refine the sales strategy.
Report to internal stakeholders on topics such as brand performance, market trends, competitive landscape, and special projects/events.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in beverage or consumer packaged goods sales with a proven success record.
Familiarity with the beverage alcohol sector, distributor operations, and sales practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Must reside in the priority market.
Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.
Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.
Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
Ensure all sales activities comply with state regulations.
Must pass a background check.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
