Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our finance team. This role involves applying accounting principles to assess financial data and generate comprehensive financial reports. The successful candidate will compile information, prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring precise and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Oversee the company vehicle program and employee purchase initiatives.
- Handle fixed asset accounting, including responsibilities related to monthly financial closings, reconciliations, and maintaining a robust internal control framework.
- Process inter-company transactions and reconcile balances between entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, offering insights into financial performance and status.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies to guarantee accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning activities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting controls by following established policies and procedures, complying with all financial legal requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support tax professionals by compiling and exporting necessary data and documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities for fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Address inquiries from management regarding financial matters, including expenses and budgets.
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and contribute to enhancements for improved accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain customer and supplier master data.
- Participate in financial audits, collaborating with external auditors and providing required information.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects related to financial analysis and process improvements.
Qualifications
Educational Background
Associate's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, particularly in accounts payable.
Essential Skills
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, including generally accepted accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments within the organization.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
