Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role will be accountable for addressing and conducting comprehensive evaluations of complex client inquiries related to account-specific issues, procedural questions, and other service-related matters. For escalated inquiries, the representative will collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure thorough follow-up by identifying root causes and contributing factors. This communication may occur through both written and verbal interactions with clients or their representatives (such as payers, patients, or legal representatives) via email or telephone. A deep understanding of Conifer Health Solutions and the needs of clients is essential for delivering effective resolutions and high-quality service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Responding to intricate inquiries while liaising with various management levels across different departments to ensure thorough research and resolution of issues. This may involve interpreting data breakdowns and trends to derive actionable insights. Communication methods include both written (75%) and oral (20%) formats, utilizing client systems, payer websites, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conducting detailed analyses of escalated inquiries to identify drivers and root causes, requiring investigation and reporting mechanisms that facilitate monthly data analysis.
  • Reviewing weekly trending reports for management, providing insights related to issues, root causes, and potential solutions supported by relevant data.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think independently and logically, making informed recommendations.
  • Proficient in mediating with internal partners to resolve complex issues.
  • Sound judgment in assessing risks and escalating concerns to management as necessary.
  • Resourcefulness, knowing when to seek assistance or clarification.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent listening and organizational abilities.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, capable of researching and articulating complex process breakdowns and trends.
  • Ability to maintain high productivity standards while ensuring exceptional quality and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of Hospital Revenue Cycle Services.
  • Proficient data entry and typing capabilities.
  • A collaborative team player, committed to going above and beyond to achieve objectives.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Preferred qualifications include:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in client relations or a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to:
  • Remain seated at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Work additional hours as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
