Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Job Summary:- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Implement and evaluate care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, preferably in a travel nursing setting.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies, as well as stand for long periods of time.
