Position Overview:
As a Client Relationship Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales & Marketing Departments by managing designated customer account relationships and focusing on potential opportunities and accounts.
Your primary responsibility will be to advocate for Border States Electric's offerings, services, and expertise to enhance customer sales potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve or surpass established sales targets.

- Consistently meet daily outreach goals through a structured account planning process.
- Identify targeted opportunities that align with active promotions and enhanced capabilities.

- Comprehend customer business objectives and translate them into a distinct competitive advantage for the company.
- Stay informed about company offerings, value propositions, and the competitive landscape.
- Guide high-potential accounts to senior management when necessary.
- Ensure exceptional customer support through timely follow-ups, pricing, and other services as required.
- Provide prompt responses to technical inquiries and requests, which may extend beyond regular business hours.
- Document cost savings relevant to the assigned customer base.
- Direct the utilization of marketing tools, technical specialists, and company services to support a comprehensive sales strategy for each assigned customer.
- Collaborate with preferred vendors to optimize customer sales potential.
- Effectively manage and direct company sales and support resources to maximize sales and profit potential across all products and markets.
- Participate in and provide insights to sales management regarding the implementation and effectiveness of marketing strategies.
- Offer feedback to sales and marketing teams on customer needs and concerns related to pricing, products, and service.
- Contribute strategic insights to pricing and purchasing departments regarding competitive pricing, margin strategies, product evaluations, and inventory requirements.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of experience in distribution, customer service, marketing, quotations, or sales is preferred.
- Experience in contract negotiation and public speaking is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Strong working knowledge of PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP software.
Skills and Abilities:
- Consistently deliver responsive, high-quality service to exceed customer expectations.
- Technical proficiency in understanding electrical systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating competence, accuracy, responsiveness, and engagement.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams.
