Production and Sales Supervisor

Position Overview:

As a key player in our team, you will oversee the production process while ensuring sales targets are met or surpassed.

Your role will involve driving sales, maintaining store presentation, managing signage, executing accurate cash register operations, and implementing loss prevention strategies in line with Goodwill-West Texas standards.

You will be dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience at every touchpoint, from the donation area to the sales floor and checkout. Additionally, you will ensure secure operations during store opening and closing hours, uphold a safe and organized work environment, and promote established guidelines and procedures. Collaborating with management, you will also play a vital role in supervising and training staff members.

Qualifications and Skills:

Knowledge:

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Competence in addressing the needs of employees with barriers or disabilities with sensitivity.
  • Effective communication skills with both coworkers and donors.
  • Proficiency in operating necessary equipment for job functions.
  • Accurate handling of POS and tagging systems.
  • Capability to manage goods throughout the donation processing unit.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to perform tasks essential for continuous operations.
  • Availability to work varied hours as required by business needs.
  • Possession of a valid Texas driver's license.
Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by fostering a welcoming environment. Greet and acknowledge customers, demonstrating genuine concern for their needs.
  • Lead the team in providing an exceptional customer experience at all service points.
  • Ensure donations are graciously accepted, thanking each donor and providing receipts.
  • Oversee all aspects of the donation process to facilitate a smooth flow of quality contributions.
  • Maintain effective merchandising and store presentation standards.
  • Accurately process all sales transactions, including discounts and donations, while training staff to do the same.
  • Navigate and troubleshoot databases such as POS and tagging systems.
  • Understand and promote Goodwill's mission, ensuring employees are trained in supporting this initiative.
  • Continuously monitor process flow and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Exhibit strong product knowledge and value of donated items.
  • Conduct regular safety checks with the team.
  • Adhere to security protocols regarding cash handling and facility safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and track performance goals.
  • Assist with store layout changes and uphold merchandising standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish merchandise as needed.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including pricing and loss prevention strategies.
  • Make informed decisions in various situations, including emergencies.
  • Foster positive communication with coworkers and stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and training for new staff members.
  • Report on staff productivity and scheduling to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
