We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at Primrose Retirement Communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of individual and group recreation programs that meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and execution of life enrichment programs, including activities, events, and outings.
- Encourage resident participation and engagement in community events.
- Coordinate monthly special events and decorate the facility for special occasions.
- Maintain the resident volunteer program and find volunteers for events.
- Distribute monthly life enrichment schedules to residents and post them in the community.
- Acknowledge resident birthdays, anniversaries, and special accomplishments.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Activity Certification preferred.
- Minimum of one year working with senior population preferred, but will consider previous experiences.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to speak effectively to groups of residents, associates, or outside professionals.
- Basic typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft software.
- Able to drive residents to outside activities in Primrose Van.
- Enjoy working with and building rapport with seniors.
