The Human Resources Generalist will lead Human Resource Functions at R W Zant CO and its subsidiary with support from the Director of Human Resources. This role is responsible for partnering with functional leaders, front-line employees, and supervisors to ensure the company's culture and performance align with company objectives.

This position requires a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Company policy and procedures, as well as the ability to handle confidential matters. The HR Generalist will maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human relations functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

The HR Generalist will manage the recruiting process, including entering applicants into an applicant tracking software, reviewing the handbook and related policy documents with new employees, and working with supervisory and senior staff to create and maintain accurate job descriptions. This role will also be responsible for keeping HR policies current with California and Federal laws, conducting sexual/anti-harassment and discrimination training for new employees and staff, and monitoring trends and making recommendations for policy and cultural changes as appropriate.

This position will also be responsible for managing FMLA, ADA, personal leaves, and worker's compensation claims, maintaining timely communication with employees, and managing documentation as required by applicable laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for internal communications on HR and other matters, as well as the preparation and processing of payroll, reviewing and ensuring accuracy of time records, tracking and deducting all wage orders, and other special payroll deductions.

In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, this role will develop and implement safety training plans, foster a collaborative environment where employees and supervisors work together to educate staff on safety best practices, identify safety concerns before there is a problem, and consistently follow safety guidelines. The HR Generalist will also coordinate logistics for HR events such as trainings, benefits, wellness events, and other various annual events.

This position requires a minimum of seven years of Human Resources experience, bilingual English and Spanish, and the ability to communicate in written and oral English and Spanish correctly and effectively. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, be able to inspire, motivate, train, and coach others within the Human Resources function, and be comfortable with data and KPIs.
