Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our SSD development team, focusing on SSD Product Development and Validation. This role requires a profound understanding of SSD architecture, firmware development, and validation processes. The selected candidate will be part of a specialized team dedicated to pioneering innovative testing methodologies for SSDs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to global SSD test teams in establishing robust validation infrastructures.
- Analyze product specifications to develop best-in-class testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends related to next-generation SSD features.
- Utilize expertise in NVMe, PCIe, and performance measurement techniques to enhance testing protocols.
- Conduct failure analysis and replicate issues to identify unique failure scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive policies and improve testing practices.
- Lead initiatives to define infrastructure requirements for validation and product development.
- Deliver comprehensive validation infrastructure plans and readiness assessments.
- Identify innovative testing strategies to ensure superior quality of Micron's SSDs.
- Prototype and develop proposed testing frameworks and solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to existing test architectures.
- Perform system-level debugging using various diagnostic tools.
- Manage and troubleshoot issues in both Windows and Linux environments.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of SSD performance metrics and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in using protocol analyzers and understanding SSD design and firmware development.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Familiarity with PCIe and NVMe protocols; knowledge of SATA and SAS is advantageous.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and test-driven development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $165,000 and $280,000, based on role, level, and location. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity options.
