Job Description

**Job Title:** Assistant Production Supervisor

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Supervisor to join our team at Alene Candles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and leading a team of production staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead a team of production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that production targets are met.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that production plans are aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available to meet production demands.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure that materials are sourced at the best possible price.
  • Ensure that all production staff are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that production processes are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet quality standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with inventory management and control.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
