**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Lead by example, providing unparalleled guest service and supporting the Bakery Team Leader in developing a high-performing team.
  • Ensure that all supplies, ingredients, and equipment are ready for production each day.
  • Collaborate with the Bakery Team Leader to develop and implement effective production processes.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available for production.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients and supplies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new products and menu items.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all baked goods meet Giant Eagle's high standards.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Bakery Team Leader or other management personnel.

**Requirements:**

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Knowledge of bakery production processes and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
