We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at TriMas Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing all shift operations in the assigned areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Plant Safety and Quality: Oversee all shift operations to enhance plant safety, personnel engagement, quality of product, productivity, cost reduction, and tool & equipment maintenance.
- Lead Continuous Improvement: Participate in 3rd Party audits representing their departments and lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Ensure team members are successfully trained to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Manage Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and complete preventive maintenance for assembly equipment on time.
- Coordinate Shift Meetings: Lead shift meetings with team members to ensure communication of expectations and discuss any issues related to safety, quality or productivity.
- Direct and Coordinate Production: Direct and coordinate revision of production plan, employee's schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Manage Time and Attendance: Maintain effective control over time and attendance, reflecting adequate information in the time tracking system.
- Lead and Motivate Team Members: Lead, motivate, participate, and train team members to promote growth in a team-oriented environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in an injection molding/assembly manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Experience with leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects, thermoplastics processing, high cavitation molding, lean-continuous improvement tools, scheduling, training, safety programs.
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills, excellent interpersonal, as well as strong written and oral communications skills.
- Computer Skills: Computer skills including Windows, related MS Office software and other manufacturing software.
