Job Title: Environmental Planner/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Planner/Project Manager to join our team in Irvine, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects and preparing CEQA/NEPA documents, technical reports, and environmental permits.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental planning and project management, with experience in preparing CEQA/NEPA documents, technical reports, and environmental permits. You will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. You will also be responsible for reviewing and negotiating teaming agreements and contracts, managing internal disciplines and sub-consultants, and conducting site visits and field investigations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Prepare CEQA/NEPA documents, technical reports, and environmental permits.
  • Review and negotiate teaming agreements and contracts.
  • Manage internal disciplines and sub-consultants.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and monitoring during construction.
  • Review project engineering drawings and provide environmental input.
  • Provide technical oversight and conduct quality control reviews of documents.
  • Assist with business development and marketing efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, planning, or related fields.
  • Minimum of five years of experience preparing CEQA/NEPA documents for transportation, railway, renewables, water, and utility sectors in California.
  • Project management experience is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an office, field, and work-from-home environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.

Working Conditions and Environment:

This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. The ideal candidate will be able to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment.
