Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utilization Review Specialist to join our team at Parkside Hospital. As a Utilization Review Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient use of healthcare resources and minimizing potential recoupment from third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate internal processes to limit possible recoupment from third-party payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, and private insurance.
  • Coordinate with clinicians, business office, and medical records to achieve these goals.
  • Participate in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, utilization review, and business settings.
