Job Title: Insurance Sales Representative

As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling and servicing AAA branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products to our customers. You will use your sales skills and product knowledge to identify customer-specific needs and generate new sales, retain existing insureds, and grow our overall insurance book of business.



You will work closely with our Retail Sales Leader to meet or exceed targets as defined in the sales incentive plan and as assigned by your manager. You will also conduct insurance reviews for clients to identify suitable products and use provided tools and underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate products, and quote, bind, and issue policies.



We are looking for a sales professional with a strong track record of success in a fast-paced computer-automated business environment. You will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license, a current Life Insurance Sales license, and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory MVR. You will also be required to qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products.

Requirements:




  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
  • Current Life Insurance Sales license
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory MVR
  • Ability to qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
  • 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer-automated business environment
  • Strong sales skills with a history of effectively developing, tracking, following up on, and closing leads
  • Advanced consultative selling techniques utilizing thorough product knowledge
  • Strong phone sales and prospecting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a strong customer focus
  • Ambition, motivation, and drive
  • Knowledge of desktop systems, including Microsoft Office software applications
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to understand customer needs


Preferred Qualifications:




  • Two years of professional sales experience in an insurance environment or related industry
  • College-level coursework


Work Environment:



This position requires a varying amount of time spent in off-site locations, soliciting and selling products and attending meetings, with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes. You will also be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and be willing to travel.
