Building Automation Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a proficient technician to assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our building automation systems. The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with a solid understanding of HVAC systems and a strong commitment to quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, the incumbent will perform routine duties including:
- Installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of various industrial instrumentation used in monitoring and controlling HVAC systems.
- Conducting regular preventative maintenance inspections and diagnosing potential issues with metering control instruments.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to installations and repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on work performed.
- Troubleshooting complex telemetry and control system issues, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Programming and diagnosing PLC and SCADA systems.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
The candidate should possess knowledge of:
- Electrical and electronic circuits, as well as basic PLC and SCADA systems.
- Techniques for calibrating electronic equipment and troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Safe work practices and the ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Modern office practices and proficiency in relevant software applications.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field. A valid driver's license is required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Work Environment:
This position involves exposure to various environmental conditions, including mechanical parts and potential electrical hazards. The role may require physical stamina, including lifting and moving equipment.
Compensation: $28 - $34 per hour
