Position Overview
Dorsett Controls is seeking a proficient technician to assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our building automation systems. We are looking for a dedicated team player who is knowledgeable in HVAC systems and possesses a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
Under general supervision, you will:
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections and diagnose potential issues.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to installations.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Troubleshoot complex telemetry and control system issues, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Program and diagnose PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.
- Familiarity with PLC and SCADA software and hardware.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures.
Additional Requirements
This position may require participation in a rotating on-call schedule and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education and Experience
A minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent technical training, along with relevant experience in the field, is required.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $28-$34 per hour.
