Responsibilities

  • Work independently or as part of a team to capture and edit video footage that accurately represents the news.
  • Operate production and transmission equipment, including cameras, lights, and editors.
  • Maintain assigned equipment, including news vehicles, cameras, lights, editors, and peripheral gear.
  • Drive news vehicles and live-transmission vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Broadcasting or Television Production preferred; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a television field production preferred.
  • Editing experience required.
  • Adobe Premiere experience preferred.
  • Understanding of camera operation (ENG cameras a plus) and photographic techniques.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge in current and emerging newscast technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of news operations and practices helpful.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
