Job Description

Lighthouse Professional Services, a leading provider of contract and direct hire talent, is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production planning team, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the Production Manufacturing Manager in all aspects of planning functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze production specifications and plant capacity to determine manufacturing processes.
  • Plan, prepare, and issue parts and materials schedules that anticipate and coordinate with production sequences.
  • Coordinate site production/modifications activities at customer sites, attend customer/company meetings, review and implement modification procedures, and aid in identifying and proposing changes to processes and procedures.
  • Research, plan, and schedule the manufacture of jigs and fixtures and production aids based on requirements of production sequences.
  • Conduct design reviews, create work breakdown BOMs, develop work procedures for production lines, and train production personnel on work procedures, processes, methods, and safety requirements.
  • Perform cost estimates, time studies, and apply Kaizen to improve production processes.
  • Review weekly status of project percentage of completion.
  • Conduct reviews and recommend improvements to efficiency of manufacturing operations, including maintenance of issue schedules, utilization of manpower, and operations of daily schedules or decrease operating efficiency.
  • Create and maintain internal operating procedures for ISO-9002 compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in plant engineering or production planning.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Direct work with production processes, scheduling, shipping logistics, and facility equipment, including machinery, overhead cranes, jigs, fixtures, riggings, and production aids.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and work on a production floor.

Duration: Direct hire. Location: Yonkers, NY. Salary: 85-100K.
