Job Overview

About the Role

Johnson Controls International is seeking a skilled HVAC Chiller Mechanic to join our team in supporting the fast-growing Data Center market. As a key member of our North America Data Center team, you will be responsible for startup, commissioning, and aftermarket services for this rapidly expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to our customers, solving facility inefficiencies and resolving service-related issues.
  • Work closely with local market technicians and provide on-the-job training when necessary.
  • Travel 50-60% within North America to support Data Center customers, startup, and commissioning activities, as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.
  • Participate in training programs to gain knowledge in HVAC products supporting the Data Center Market.
  • Ensure attention to detail through strong interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Hold a universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, a good driving record, and a valid driver's license.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical working experience on air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers or large roof-top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Be a member or willing to join a local Union.
  • Willing to invest in career development.
