Job Summary

The HVAC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems in the hotel. This includes repairing equipment as assigned and participating in the preventative maintenance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC equipment and experience with cooling towers, chillers, and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair all HVAC equipment, including roof top units, exhaust systems, chillers, ice machines, commercial kitchen equipment, and cooling towers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience with commercial HVAC equipment required.
  • In process of or confirmed completion of 2-year basic HVAC course at an accredited college or trade school is preferred.
  • Cooling tower, chiller, and refrigeration experience is required.
  • EPA Universal license is required; HVAC License preferred.
  • Knowledge of building automated systems preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
