As a crucial member of the Dallas Market Center, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our extensive facilities remain safe, comfortable, and fully operational. Your maintenance expertise will greatly enhance the experiences of our exhibitors, buyers, and employees, solidifying our market center's reputation as a premier venue in Dallas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive assessments on HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems to guarantee peak performance.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of HVAC components such as chillers, air handlers, and cooling towers to proactively identify potential issues.
- Collaborate on the installation of new HVAC systems and major equipment refurbishments.
- Promptly address and resolve temperature complaints and other concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
- Rotate responsibilities to oversee the startup and shutdown of chillers, lighting, and escalators.
- Maintain precise records of maintenance tasks utilizing the work order management system.
- Assist in the planning and execution of building maintenance initiatives.
- Respond to service requests and provide assistance during after-hours events.
- Work in conjunction with a dedicated team on various maintenance projects, including routine inspections and preventive upkeep.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Level 3 HVAC Certification or HVAC License.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling.
